Role Overview
As a Volunteer Play Worker, you'll help create joyful and engaging play sessions for children with SEND. You'll work alongside our team to create a supportive atmosphere where every child feels included.
Location
: Filton Children's Centre, 75 Conygre Rd, Filton, BS34 7DD
Schedule
:
Tuesdays, 12:30-3:30 PM
Wednesdays, 12:30-3:30 PM
Total commitment
: 6 hours per week
What You'll Do
Lead fun, play-based activities tailored to children's needs.
Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
Support children in building social and emotional skills through play.
Work with other play workers to keep the play area tidy and welcoming.
Chat with parents and caregivers to share updates and build connections.
What We're Looking For
A
passion
for working with children and a positive, can-do attitude.
Good communication
skills to connect with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to
juggle
tasks and stay organized in a lively environment.
Basic understanding of early childhood education or childcare is a bonus, but not essential.
Comfortable speaking and understanding English.
Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is helpful but not required - we'll provide guidance!
