Approx. 5.5 hours per day

6 working days spread across 3 weeks (exact dates to be confirmed)

About the Role:


Pathway Sports is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable

Sports Coach

to support our summer holiday provision. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for anyone passionate about working with children and delivering fun, engaging sports sessions.

Requirements:



Experience working with children in a sports or activity-based setting Confident leading group activities and creating a positive, energetic environment Must

arrange own transport

to and from venues Must have (or be willing to obtain) an

enhanced DBS

- this will be at your own cost Must be punctual, professional, and able to work as part of a small team

Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating athletes of all levels. As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for developing training programmes, enhancing athletes' skills, and fostering a positive team environment. Your role will be vital in promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among participants.

Duties



Design and implement training sessions tailored to the needs of individual athletes and the team as a whole. Educate athletes on the rules, techniques, and strategies of the sport. Monitor and assess athletes' performance, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement. Foster a supportive and motivating atmosphere that promotes teamwork and personal growth. Organise and lead practice sessions, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and effectively. Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and other stakeholders regarding progress and development. Stay updated on the latest coaching techniques and sports science to enhance training methods.

Skills



Proven experience in sports coaching with a strong understanding of various coaching methodologies. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and motivate athletes. Ability to assess individual strengths and weaknesses to tailor training accordingly. Strong organisational skills to manage schedules, training plans, and team activities. A positive attitude with the ability to inspire confidence in athletes of all ages. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to sports activities.
