We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or food service establishment wing fest selfridges. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary and kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and fostering a positive team environment to achieve operational excellence.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold quality standards
Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to optimise productivity
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene across all areas
Assist in training new staff members in food production, serving procedures, and hospitality protocols
Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction
Support the implementation of health and safety policies within the workplace
Collaborate with management to develop menus or promotional activities as required
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Experience in food production, serving, or barista roles is advantageous
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers
Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy service periods
Previous experience in hospitality or culinary roles such as restaurant experience or hotel management is desirable
