Job Overview

We are seeking a Scaffolding Supervisor who is responsible for supervising the daily scaffolding operations, ensuring all scaffolds are erected, altered and dismantled safely and in complaince with relevant legislations. The role includes carrying our and recording weekly scaffold inspections, supporting the Manager and overseeing scaffold teams to maintain high safety and quality standards.

Duties

Carry out weekly scaffold inspections and inspections after adverse weather, alterations or impact. Complete and maintain scaffold inspection reports. Ensure all scaffolding complies with the current health and safety legislation, standards, and company procedures. Supervise scaffolding operatives on site, ensuring safe system of works are followed. Work closely under direction of the manager to plan daily activities and manpower. Identify hazards, defects or non compliance and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly. Ensure scaff tags are updated and displayed correctly. Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure scaffolds are fit fir purpose. Ensure materials, equipment and access are used safely and correctly. Support investigations into accidents, near misses or safety concerns.

Qualifications

Proven experience in scaffolding supervision. Competent in carrying our statutory scaffold inspections. Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems and safe working practices. Ability to lead and motivate teams. Good communication and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively under a manager and follow instruction. Confident in completing inspection documentation.

Qualifications (Desirable / Required)

CISRS Advanced Scaffolder or Scaffolding Supervisor qualification. CISRS Scaffold Inspection (or equivalent) SMSTS or SSSTS CSCS Card First Aid (desirable)

Pay: 140.00-150.00 per day
