About this opportunity





We are looking for a supportive, customer focussed team player to join our Community Equipment Service within Adult Social Care as Supervisor.



Westmorland and Furness Council's Community Equipment Service currently holds equipment in 14,500 homes across the area, you'll be joining the team that works with both Health and Social Care Services, to provide, install and maintain Community Equipment to help people stay active, comfortable and independent in their home.



As Supervisor you will be responsible for the supervision, training and support of the wider team, including our community and buildings-based staff, for example, our Operations Coordinators, Maintenance, Warehouse and Driver Technicians, ensuring a high quality, cost effective, service to the people of Westmorland & Furness.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, as the role will involve working closely with the wider team, wider Services, and with our partner organisations.



An awareness of Health & Safety issues, incident reporting and risk assessments is essential, as well as the ability to effectively identify any issues and implement solutions, while working with your team to improve the Service we can offer to the people of Westmorland and Furness.
