We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in service and people management, and the ability to supervise and motivate a team. Duties
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of staff, including chefs, servers, and kitchen assistants
Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and food safety regulations
Manage team schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and monitor performance to optimise productivity
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all operational areas
Assist with food production during busy periods to maintain service quality
Provide training and mentorship to new team members in hospitality practices, food safety, and customer service
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring positive guest experiences
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and service areas
Collaborate with management on menu planning, stock control, and operational improvements
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques
Experience in restaurant or hotel settings; barista experience is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and service standards
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Relevant experience in food production, serving, or hospitality roles such as hotel or restaurant experience is desirable
