We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary and kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and fostering a positive team environment to achieve operational excellence.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operational flow
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of the establishment
Manage team schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to optimise productivity
Assist in training new staff members in food production, service procedures, and safety protocols
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Handle customer queries or complaints professionally to uphold excellent service standards
Collaborate with management to develop menus or special offers that align with brand standards
Maintain a clean, organised work environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
Experience in food safety management and adherence to hygiene standards
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Good communication skills to liaise confidently with staff and customers
Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen equipment operation
Previous experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
