- 40 hours per week, weekend work is essential

This is an exciting opportunity to join Tian Tian Market, one of London's leading supermarket chains for East Asian groceries. As Supervisor of the store, you will lead the day-to-day operations & performance. This role will report to the Operations manager.

You will need to be self-motivated & have a positive, successful attitude. Not afraid of hard work, you will be prepared to lead your team to perform successfully. Experience leading a team & managing a store is essential to this role. Experience in a management or supervisor role in supermarket retail is very beneficial.

Knowledge or interest in East Asian food & beverage products is very advantageous.

Duties/responsibilities:



Manage all operations of the store Manage store performance, utilising KPIs Store opening/closing duties. includes balancing cash registers, health & safety checks, cleaning & stock management. Manage all stock deliveries & returns Delegate tasks to Assistant Supervisors, Senior staff, shop assistants and supervise their performance Train/develop staff when required Interview & recruit shop staff when required Maintain adequate stock levels for store performance & sales Collaborate with other stores & departments Commercial awareness, executing any in-store promotions Manage customer queries & complaints Prepare team rota's using the time management system to manage staff hours Knowledge of Health & Safety Follow all company best practice & policies Report maintenance and training needs Designated First Aider & Fire Warden Hold Alcohol Personal Licence & provide training to team members

Requirements:



3+ years proven experience as a supervisor/team leader/assistant manager or other relevant role in a fast-paced retail environment (Essential) Availability to work different shifts, including weekends & bank holidays Fluent in English Mandarin (Desirable) Commercial awareness A customer service approach with the ability to manage complaints with professionalism Excellent organisational skills Experience with employee performance management, disciplinaries & grievances High level of store standards, not afraid to 'get stuck in' & help with all duties Excellent communication skills Knowledge or interest in East Asian & South East Asian food & beverage products (Essential) Eligible to work in the UK
