We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and fostering a positive team environment to achieve operational excellence.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and cleaning tasks
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to in accordance with industry standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production and presentation quality
Manage staff schedules, assign duties, and monitor performance to maintain efficiency and high service standards
Provide training and mentorship to new and existing team members to promote professional development
Maintain stock levels, order supplies as necessary, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and equipment
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to uphold the organisation's reputation
Collaborate with management on menu planning, special events, and operational improvements
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
Experience in food safety protocols and compliance with health regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Familiarity with food production processes in both restaurant and hotel settings
Previous experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous
Good communication skills with a professional demeanour suitable for supervising diverse teams
