What you'll do
Lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Oversee daily operations including inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling.
Conduct employee orientation and training sessions to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills.
Manage scheduling and shift assignments to optimise productivity and service levels.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and efficiency.
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales goals.
Maintain accurate records for payroll, inventory control, and bookkeeping tasks.
Collaborate with upper management on budgeting and purchasing decisions.
Basic qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within retail or a related field.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with team members and customers.
Preferred qualifications
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and math principles.
Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and training new staff members.
