We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality and food service establishments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food preparation and kitchen management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members, including chefs, servers, and kitchen assistants
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality standards are met
Manage team schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and motivate staff to achieve operational goals
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and service areas
Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and place orders for supplies as needed
Provide training and mentorship to new team members, fostering a positive work environment
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction is prioritised
Collaborate with management on menu planning, special events, and promotional activities
Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including sales, staffing, and health & safety documentation
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
Experience in food safety standards and regulations
Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example
Background in restaurant or hotel environments is highly desirable
Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen equipment
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Good communication skills with a professional attitude towards hospitality service
Previous experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous but not essential
A recognised qualification in hospitality or culinary arts is preferred
