This role will be working Monday to Friday, 06:15am to 2:15pm / 2:15pm to 10:15pm on a rotational basis.

Purpose of Role:



You will be responsible for leading the Raw Materials and Finished Goods Warehouse team at Mirfield, ensuring production and despatch requirements are met while keeping stock levels accurate. This involves overseeing and updating stock movements in D365 to reflect the physical flow and usage of materials. Any discrepancies should be identified promptly, investigated, and resolved, with steps taken to prevent them from happening again. You will organise and direct the team so that work is shared effectively across the shift, ensuring all tasks are carried out correctly, safely, and on time. This may include adjusting workloads or reallocating people and activities as needed to maintain balance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and oversee daily stock control activities within the warehouse. Manage fibre stock levels and maintain clear oversight of availability. Keep accurate and up-to-date inventory records using D365 and the Warehouse Management App. Record and report all stock movements in line with company procedures. Monitor inventory levels and highlight any risks to supply. Review and analyse stock data using reports (including Power BI). Investigate discrepancies quickly, reconcile differences, and implement corrective actions. Work closely with third-party warehouses and the supply chain team to coordinate incoming goods. Oversee the receipt, handling, and storage of raw materials. Ensure all stock is labelled, stored, and arranged to maximise efficiency and accessibility. Continuously review and improve stock control processes. Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational standards. Provide leadership and guidance to the warehouse team, ensuring HR and health & safety requirements are met. Organise and balance team activities to meet production and despatch deadlines. Train, support, and develop warehouse operatives in effective stock handling practices.

Requirements:



Previous experience in warehouse stock control or a supervisory position is desirable, though not essential. Confident user of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse and manage data effectively. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate a team. High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Valid forklift licence. Willingness to work shifts, including evenings or weekends when required.
