Objective
As FOH Supervisor, your role is to lead shifts, supporting the management team to run the pub smoothly. You will be responsible for guiding the FOH team, delivering excellent service, and ensuring standards are met. As a key holder for the pub, it is also your responsibility to look after the safety and security of staff and customers alike. To achieve all this, you will sometimes need to take on tasks outside this list.
Shift Leadership
Lead FOH shifts confidently, delegating tasks and setting priorities.
Lead from the front in driving sales and increasing customer spending.
Demonstrate exemplary hospitality skills and set the tone for the team.
Keep standards high in all areas of service and presentation.
Ensure record keeping, cash control, safety and security standards are upheld.
Ensure smooth communication between front and back of house.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure the team follows all company Health & Safety policies.
Always keep FOH areas safe and compliant.
Report hazards or incidents promptly to the Manager.
Handle company cash, stock, and property responsibly at all times.
Complete ay training as required and apply it in daily work.
People & Team
Help create a positive, supportive work environment.
Motivate and support FOH team members during service.
Assist in training and developing new starters.
Provide feedback to management on team performance.
Offer send-homes where appropriate or keep the team busy if quiet.
Customer Experience
Ensure every guest receives excellent service.
Respond to complaints or issues quickly and professionally.
Create a welcoming, enjoyable environment for all customers.
Ensure the team remain positive and engaging with customers.
