Do you have a passion for pizza?

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Supervisor/Assistant Manager to support our team serving award winning pizzas from a converted shipping container pizza bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a passion for food production, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

You will be assisting the manager/owner with the day to day running of the kitchen & FOH and your enthusiasm and passion will be inspiring to the rest of the team. Maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

Experience in making pizza would be helpful but not essential since we can offer training. As long as the individual has enthusiasm and keen to learn that's counts for more. A desire to deliver the absolute best experience for our customers is key.

This is an exciting time to join the Pizzetta team as we expand the brand with a view to opening a pizza cafe in Wimborne before the end of the year where the right candidate will be heavily involved in its launch.

This position would suit someone from either Blandford, Wimborne or surrounding areas with a driving licience since the job will require the person to travel between the two once the second venture in Wimborne is launched

Responsibilities:



Assist the Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations and team management. Hand stretching our sourdough pizzas and cooking in our stonebaked oven; training will be provided. Support staff with food preparation and cooking tasks, ensuring high-quality culinary standards are met. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Help train new kitchen staff in food production techniques and safety protocols. Supervise team members during service periods, providing guidance and support as needed. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations. Address any issues that arise within the kitchen promptly and effectively, fostering a positive work atmosphere.

The successful candidate should have

:

Previous experience in a supervisory role working in a fast-paced kitchen/FOH environment is preferred. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Proven skills in team management, leadership, and effective communication. Experience in food production and cooking techniques is highly desirable. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to help others succeed in their roles is crucial for this position. Driving licience - will be required to travel between Blandford & Wimborne at times

Pay: 13.50-14.50 per hour
