This role will involve the end-to-end procurement and supply related tasks involved in sourcing, procuring and delivering (logistics) products to customers. This role is also suitable for a pharmacy dispenser or pharmacy technician who is looking to pivot into procurement and supply chain. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimising the supply chain processes, ensuring efficient logistics and inventory management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities - Supply Chain
Processing purchase orders and making direct and indirect purchases.
Maintaining and Updating the Order Tracker.
Reconciling invoices.
Sourcing new products when needed.
Chasing up suppliers as needed and rightly communicating information to the necessary teams.
Maintaining and managing the Purchasing inbox.
Working with the Dispensary and Lab Department to support orders, returns, missing issues and other complaints.
Supporting the pharmacists and quality team to source new products and obtain appropriate quality documents.
Be involved in Bi-weekly stock take exercises, ensuring that the teams are carrying out the exercise as agreed, and that the documentation is provided by due date.
Getting clients for secondary services such as removal of delivery pallets, other waste/disposals etc
You will provide administrative support to the team to ensure that its operations run smoothly.
Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment processes to prevent shortages or excess.
Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Coordinate with internal departments to align supply chain activities with company objectives.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and supplier communications within the systems.
Assist in the development of supply chain strategies that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards throughout the supply chain process.
Skills and Experience
Intermediate to proficient computer skills.
Good planning, time management, and organisation skills.
Must be able to take initiative within scope, work as part of a team and be prepared to be flexible.
Ability to prioritise workload.
Must have a good command of Microsoft Excel and Word. PowerBi skill is an advantage.
Ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
Previous experience working in Supply Chain, or in a Pharmacy dispenser or technician role is an advantage.
Qualifications
Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics is essential.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data sets.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with various stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
