Operations Department



As part of the Operations department the supply chain team ensure orders are placed in good time.In addition, liaising with our transport partners in Spain to ensure the procurement function is complete, with goods being checked in at our consolidation point and all legal customs documentation in order before goods are loaded for dispatch to the UK.

Job Summary/Purpose



To assist the Supply Chain team on daily stock ordering, receiving and monitoring stock. Ensuring stock records are accurate and updated in a timely manner to achieve the main objective of having reliable live stock. The role will include communicating with key personnel from other departments and liaising with transport companies, suppliers, investigating and reconciling all stock discrepancies.

Responsibilities



Supply Chain Responsibilities:



Placing all Forward and orders as per requirements on the Winman computer system

Once goods are received book all receipts on the Winman computer system as confirmed from the Warehouse team.

Liaising with suppliers and trouble shooting problems relating to orders, deliveries, catch certificates & Custom clearance documents

Liaise, organise and control the day to day running of all inbound freight shipping activities

Maintain records, invoices and other freight related documents

Work closely with the warehousing team, reviewing stock reports

Support the Supply Chain team to ensure the completion of all customs & excise documents and clearance forms are in order

Provide admin support & cover within the supply chain department.

To join the weekly Service level KPI meeting and investigate and report on shortages

To work with the Buying team to agree replenishment levels and place orders for our UK packaging suppliers

General: To undertake additional tasks, commensurate with status, after consultation and the provision of necessary support and training if appropriate. To operate within all Brindisa policies and procedures.

To represent Brindisa as necessary and appropriately on matters connected with post internally and externally.

Qualifications/Education



Basic state education

Spanish Speaker/Spanish language qualification

Experience:



Experience undertaking a similar role.

Experience of working unsupervised in a methodical manner

To respond to changing priorities & to meet deadlines

Knowledge:



Demonstrate a good knowledge of Spanish products

Broad general awareness of purchasing principles

Within the food industry

Key Skills/Abilities:



Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Ability to negotiate & influence where appropriate

Good interpersonal skills/able to work as part of a team

Good organisational & time management skills

Problem Solving skills

PC Skills- proficient in the use of MS Office, MS Excel,
