As we embark on a strategically important, long-term Defence infrastructure programme, we're looking for a Supply Chain Relationship Manager to shape and manage a high-performing supply chain that grows with us.

This is a pivotal role in a programme that is accelerating rapidly -- ideal for someone who thrives in strategic, long-term planning and has a passion for collaborative supply chain development.
What you'll be doing


As a Supply Chain Manager, your main responsibilities are as follows:

Lead a Strategic Supplier Relationship Management (SSRM) programme across an 8-10 year major works programme.
Develop and deliver a supply chain strategy aligned with programme goals, growth plans, and sustainability ambitions.
Facilitate and embed robust supplier performance management, using digital e-procurement systems.
Collaborate across Balfour Beatty teams (procurement, delivery, commercial, safety, quality, sustainability) and externally with subcontractors and material suppliers.
Drive innovation, ESG goals, and behavioural safety through structured supply chain engagement.
Host forums to enhance supply chain development, quality compliance, and capacity readiness.
Conduct market analysis and supply chain risk assessments for strategic insight and reporting.


Who we're looking for


The following skills and experience are required:

Proven experience in strategic supplier and subcontractor management within large-scale construction or infrastructure programmes.
Familiarity with digital procurement platforms and performance monitoring tools.
Strong stakeholder management and project leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
Track record of delivering value through supply chain innovations, KPIs, SLAs, and compliance frameworks.
MCIPS qualification (or working toward) is advantageous.
Eligibility for UK security clearances (BPSS and SC) is essential.
