Qnostics' core business is focused on the design, development, manufacture and supply of specialised molecular Quality Control products for the use in the in vitro diagnostic industry. Based in Glasgow, Qnostics also works with organisations around the world to provide bespoke solutions within an ISO 13485 compliant framework.

JOB SUMMARY:



Opportunity to join a growing biosciences business as part of the Supply Chain team responsible for stock management and global logistics. The Supply Chain Technician Level 1 role covers varies aspects of the supply chain and is a good introductory role for a candidate looking for a career in stock and logistics. The main function of the Supply Chain Technician will be to help support inventory management as well as facilitate the daily shipment of materials to over 130 countries around the world. In addition to this, the Supply Chain Technician will assist with product assembly while ensuring that work is carried out accurately and safely to the required regulatory industry standard and agreed timelines.

The role would suit an individual with an interest and basic background in biological sciences but not wanting to pursue a scientific career. No formal qualifications are required as training will be provided on the job with the possible opportunity to obtain further qualifications to the right candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Planning & Preparation of global shipping distributions

Day-to-day shipping processes- preparation and processing of multiple orders

To assist in the management of stock inventory systems to ensure accuracy levels are realised.

To support all operations teams in stock movement, manufacture, R&D, QC and shipping processes.

To follow processes to ensure consistency and accuracy across all Operational processes.

To complete paperwork accurately weekly e.g. BOM's, MBRs, order/packing/requisition forms etc.

To prepare shipment packaging (labelling, boxes, panel packs and bags).

To transact materials in a timely manner, ensuring inventory systems accurately reflect stock levels e.g. BIMS/WASP etc.

To support the movement/identification of stock ensuring locations, quantities and statuses are correct.

To support the collection and presentation of data clearly and accurately in a form that is easily understood (e.g. spreadsheets, SORs, reports, training etc.)

To support strong relationships with both internal and external customers through all channels of communication.

To participate in surveillance activities such as tracking, trend analysis, complaints and other duties, immediately notifying supervisor/management of potential issues/concerns.

To support the maintenance of the laboratory and equipment used when carrying out the relevant processes.

To identify and propose areas for improvement (efficiency, performance, processes etc.) defining the opportunity and potential benefits.

Accurately follow procedures/protocols as required in accordance with the company Quality System, and current departmental plans, and accurately complete all quality documentation timely as required.

Support and assist other members of teams/departments to ensure the effective completion of training and projects.

To be familiar with and adhere to the company's Health and Safety Policy, carrying out any duties with due care and attention to personal health and safety and that of colleagues

To undertake any other reasonable duties as required by Qnostics Ltd.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:



Essential

A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel) Attention to detail Working in a fast-paced team environment Good communication skills
Preferred but not essential

Inventory management experience Warehousing experience Courier Software Working in a controlled laboratory environment (GLP/GMP) A background biological knowledge (Handling/working of materials) International shipments Working within a Quality Management System (QMS) ISO9001 or ISO:13485

OTHER ACTIVITIES



On occasions, this role may require travel to and working at other operations within the TQ360 umbrella.

SALARY:



Meets National Minimum Wage

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 22,285.00 per year
