Job Title: Supply Cover Teacher
Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Salary: 394 - 3140 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate or September 2025
Contract: Full-time

GSL Education seeks an enthusiastic and reliable Supply Cover Teacher to support a mainstream secondary school in Fareham. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced teachers who want flexibility, work-life balance, and the chance to focus on teaching without the administrative load of planning and marking.
As a Supply Cover Teacher, you will step into a variety of classroom settings to maintain learning continuity. With lessons often pre-planned, your focus will be on engaging students, maintaining classroom behaviour, and supporting the school from day-to-day.
Key Responsibilities of Supply Cover Teacher:

• Deliver pre-set lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students across various subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Quickly build rapport with students and staff.
• Ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Provide brief feedback on student engagement and progress.

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experienced teachers who are looking for flexible work are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Secondary teaching experience is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Adaptable, proactive, and confident across subjects.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willing to apply for one.
• Provides a full CV covering the last 10 years with explanations for any gaps.
