- Supported Living Provision
Location: Leicestershire, Charnwood area
Pay Rate: 12.21 per hour
Hours: Typically 7am to 10pm on a rota basis including sleep-in nights
Contract Type: Permanent or part time
Eligibility: Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Purpose of the Role
To provide person centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs in a supported living environment. The role involves promoting independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing while following individual care plans and Positive Behaviour Support practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care and support with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and social inclusion
Ensure each individual's choices, preferences, and goals are understood and supported
Participate in implementing and reviewing care plans and behaviour support strategies
Support individuals to access community activities and develop life skills
Maintain accurate, up to date records and report any concerns regarding wellbeing or safety
Promote a safe and comfortable living environment that respects the rights of each person
Follow safeguarding procedures and report any issues relating to abuse or neglect
Work cooperatively with healthcare professionals, family members, and external agencies
Participate in mandatory training including Positive Behaviour Support and refresher courses
Act as a role model by demonstrating dignity, respect, and professionalism at all times
Essential Requirements
Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or similar needs (paid or voluntary)
Ability to follow support plans and adapt support to meet individual needs
Strong communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships
Willingness to complete mandatory training and ongoing professional development
Reliable, patient, and committed to providing high standards of care
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding policies
Right to work in the UK
Desirable Skills and Experience
Previous experience in supported living or domiciliary care
Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support approaches
Full UK driving licence
