The successful candidate will play a key role in providing tailored support to foster carers and looked-after children, while also working closely with the Registered Manager to maintain robust administrative systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Worker Duties
Provide direct support to children and their foster carers to ensure placement stability and positive outcomes.
Conduct regular visits and maintain consistent communication with foster carers to assess needs and provide guidance.
Assist in creating and reviewing placement plans, risk assessments, and other relevant child-centered documentation.
Advocate for children and foster carers at meetings, reviews, and professional forums.
Work collaboratively with social workers, education providers, and other professionals to support the holistic needs of the child.
Compliance Worker Duties
Monitor and ensure all required documentation for children and carers is complete, up to date, and of a high standard.
Conduct regular audits of children's files to maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Support the preparation for inspections by regulatory bodies (e.g. Ofsted), ensuring all records are accurate and accessible.
Provide feedback and support to staff on document quality and completion.
Escalate any concerns or gaps in compliance to the Registered Manager in a timely manner.
Administrative Oversight & Quality Monitoring
Work closely with the Registered Manager to monitor and improve administrative processes across the agency.
Contribute to policy and procedure development relating to compliance and record-keeping.
Support data collection and reporting for performance monitoring and service improvement.
Assist with staff training and onboarding regarding documentation standards and systems.
Person Specification - Essential
Experience working with children, young people, and/or foster carers in a support or safeguarding capacity.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
Attention to detail and a thorough approach to record-keeping and documentation.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Confident using digital systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
Knowledge of fostering regulations and compliance standards (e.g. Fostering Services Regulations, Ofsted framework).
Experience in a compliance, auditing, or quality assurance role within social care or a regulated setting.
Relevant qualification in social care, child development, or a related field.
