HR Assistant (Temporary) - Support Office

25 hours per week | Monday to Friday (5 hours per day)

At Grandir UK, we are seeking an organised and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our HR team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys supporting people processes and is looking to gain or build HR experience within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

The Role

As an HR Assistant, you will provide vital administrative support to the HR function, ensuring accurate records, smooth processes, and timely support to our nurseries and Support Office teams. Working closely with HR Advisors and HR Business Partners, you will support the employee lifecycle and help maintain high standards of compliance and organisation.

This is a temporary, part-time role, working 25 hours per week across 5 days.

Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including starters, changes, and leavers Maintain accurate employee records on the HRIS and ensure data integrity Prepare HR documentation such as contracts, letters, and confirmations Support the onboarding process, including issuing offer letters and contracts Respond to HR-related queries, escalating where appropriate Support HR Advisors and HR Business Partners with case administration Schedule meetings, hearings, and training sessions Assist with HR reporting, audits, and data requests Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with HR processes, policies, and employment legislation

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in an administrative role (HR or people administration desirable) Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Professional approach with a strong understanding of confidentiality Interest in developing HR knowledge and experience CIPD Level 3 (desirable, not essential)
