Product Design Technician
Part-time, term-time only - 20 hours a week
We are looking for a person to join our friendly team who can support in the preparation of wood, metal, plastic and electronic materials and components, and who can maintain the tools and machinery needed to work with those materials. This would suit someone who is knowledgeable of some or all of the resistant materials either from a professional or casual setting. The job involves preparing, setting out and clearing away resources and equipment, maintaining safe and stimulating learning environments, organising stock replenishment, routine maintenance of machinery and monitoring and maintaining records of machine safety. Working with students in small groups or individually will also, at times, be required.
Being organised, forward thinking and able to work independently is essential to the role It would be beneficial (but not essential) to have knowledge of Design Technology or Engineering.
