Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and care to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, alongside the ability to manage various tasks related to daily living activities.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with specific needs. Deliver first aid when required and maintain a safe environment for all clients. Engage in meaningful activities with clients, promoting social interaction and emotional well-being. Support children or seniors in childcare or assisted living settings as needed. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or community activities as required.

Skills

Previous experience in patient care or as a nurse is highly desirable. Strong understanding of first aid principles and practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Experience in behaviour management techniques is an advantage. Compassionate approach towards senior care and assisted living environments. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.

Pay: 12.00-13.00 per hour
