Support Worker
Job Description
We are looking for a support worker to assist with supporting our client with personal care, food and drink preparation, support with her therapy programme at home, assistance to help her in accessing the community and leisure activities. To support her with holidays in the UK and/ or abroad if able.
Our client is a delightful, motivated woman who is passionate about enjoying life, she has an acquired brain injury and sight loss. There is an existing care team in place but due to changes of circumstances we require additional support to join the team and help cover shifts, these are single handed shifts.
Working Hours:
There are two posts available,
12 hours per week and 36 hours per week
Variety of day and 24 hour shifts available.
Rates of Pay:
Weekdays: 14.50 per hour
Weekends: 15.50 per hour
Sleeping Night Mon-Fri: 12.21 per hour
Bank Holiday: 19.50
Requirements:
Clear DBS Check Experience of moving & handling Epilepsy experience Experience of providing care Demonstration of good communication skills An empathetic and compassionate personality Driving licence and ability to drive a WAV Experience with sight loss
An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
