Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals with varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, and dementia. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care, assistance with daily living activities, and fostering a supportive environment.

Duties



Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient care and support in a group home or assisted living setting. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate personnel. Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces to ensure a safe environment. Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs and preferences. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients' well-being. Assist with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary. Document patient observations accurately to maintain comprehensive records.

Qualifications



Previous experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is preferred. Familiarity with first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or developmental disabilities. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and ability to perform basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance. A background in social work or nursing is a plus but not mandatory. Commitment to providing compassionate care while respecting the dignity of each client. Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour
