We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours.
Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to relevant professionals.
Support clients with dementia care, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to deliver comprehensive care.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Experience in senior care or hospice care is advantageous.
Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial.
Ability to drive is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
Proficient in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols is essential.
Understanding of behaviour management techniques for effective client support.
A compassionate approach towards care, demonstrating empathy and patience at all times.
