Broxburn
Hours:
22.5, 30 or 37.5 hours per week (varied shifts, incl. weekends & waking nights)

30-year-old man
to live independently in Broxburn.
About the Gentleman You'll Be Supporting:
Has
autism
, a
learning disability
, and
epilepsy
- so calm, reassuring support is key
May display
challenging behaviour
and become fixated on certain topics - confidence in redirection and boundary-setting is a big plus
Uses a
wheelchair
independently and loves getting out and about
Has a passion for
trains

buses
,
ice-cream vans
, and
bin lorries
Enjoys
music
,
feeding birds
, and ?
recycling
Your Role Will Include:
? Shopping, cooking, and medication administration
Personal care and everyday support
Using
social stories
and
communication aids
to promote understanding and independence
Supporting hobbies and community engagement
Remaining calm and confident during challenging moments
What We're Looking For:
? Experience with autism, epilepsy, and challenging behaviour
Confidence in communication and redirection
?? A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
Willingness to learn and adapt as we get to know this gentleman better
