Here at Ascending Heights, we are seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our team in providing high-quality, person-centred support in our Supported Living homes. You will be supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or physical disabilities to live as independently as possible in their own homes. Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day support to people, including help with personal care, medication, and household tasks whilst ensuring independence is promoted.
Support individuals to achieve their personal goals, always promoting independence and choice.
Accompany people to appointments, social activities, and within the community.
Encourage life skills development such as cooking, budgeting, and self-care.
Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and other team members.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning and risk assessments.
Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
Requirements:
Experience in support role is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided.
A caring, patient, and respectful approach.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
An understanding of safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of vulnerable individuals.
Driving licence may be required depending on location/home.
Willingness to be develop and learn skills tailored around our people supported.
