We have an exciting opportunity for a experienced support worker to join our dedicated team in Ely, Cardiff. In this role, you will support people to build relationships, try new things, and feel part of their community - so that they can live good lives.



You will need to hold a full UK driving license for this role.

What the person we support is looking for:

I'm looking for someone calm, patient, and confident to support me with my daily life. I'm really into technology--I use my phone to take photos and record voice notes, which I enjoy listening to later, and I also like playing on my game console. I like people who are calm-natured and not too loud. I speak English and Urdu, and while you don't need to speak Urdu to support me, I appreciate it when people respect my culture. I enjoy cooking with support and like getting out into the community--going for walks, swimming, and relaxing in the sauna are some of my favourite activities. I'm a fast walker and need someone who can keep up with me. I'm moving into a new home soon and will need help settling in and adjusting to this change. It's very important that routines are understood and followed so I can feel safe and comfortable. I get along with both men and women and really enjoy sharing a laugh.



I'm looking for staff who have experience supporting people with autism, OCD, and ADHD, and who approach behaviours of concern with understanding, patience, and skill. If that sounds like you, I'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As a Support Worker, you will:


Support people to do the things they enjoy, try new experiences, and live good lives. Assist with household tasks, shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining routines. Encourage and support people to strengthen relationships with family, friends, and their community. Work alongside professionals such as social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure people receive the best support. Listen to the people you support and support them to make choices about their lives.
