Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with clients to support them in daily activities, ensuring they feel valued and respected. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to help others.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and household chores. Encourage and facilitate social interaction and community engagement for clients. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate professionals. Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and other support staff to develop individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive relationship based on trust and respect.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a support or care role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues. A compassionate nature with a genuine interest in helping others improve their quality of life. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and client needs. A valid driving licence may be advantageous but is not mandatory. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the dignity of all clients.
