Children's Support Worker - Manchester

Full-time & Part-time hours available

We're looking for caring and resilient Children's Support Workers to join our team in Manchester. You'll be supporting children and young people with

mild learning disabilities (LD)

and

behavioural needs

, some of whom may be high-risk or looked-after. Your role is to help create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive in their education, friendships, routines, and future independence.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting children day-to-day with care routines, school, and activities Building positive, trusting relationships and being a role model Helping young people manage behaviours and develop life skills Promoting health, wellbeing and safeguarding at all times Working as part of a team and keeping accurate records

About you:

Experience working with children/young people with LD or behavioural needs is essential A calm, caring, and resilient approach with good communication skills Committed to safeguarding and making a real difference in children's lives Must hold or be willing to work towards the

Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

within 2 years Enhanced DBS check required

Hours & Pay:

Full-time and part-time contracts available Shift work including evenings and weekends Competitive salary (plus enhancements for sleep-ins, where applicable)
