Aone Children's Services Ltd has an exciting opportunity available at their residential children's home in Westbury for someone who is passionate about working with children and young people. Or if you are new to the industry and want to challenge yourself to a new career in this area, we'd like to hear from you!

The home supports up to 3 children / young people aged 8 up to 18 years old who have varying needs of support across Autism, Learning Difficulties and Emotional Challenging Behaviour. Beautiful working environments, with the very best facilities. The home has two cars available.

You will be responsible for providing compassionate care during your time in the home, you will be an integral part of the team and the lives of the young people you are supporting.

Opportunity Available



Support Worker



42 hours per week on a 2 week rolling rota.

Week one: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Week two: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (all shifts 8am-8pm)

Annual salary 27,300 per annum, equates to an hourly rate 12.50 per hour

About the role



The role will encompass taking care of our children and young people day to day, making sure things run smoothly and creating lasting memories. This involves:

Administering medication

Making sure they are up and ready for school

Evening and weekends are for fun, this may involve going out on activities, such as visiting the beach, going to the cinema, planning shopping days, spa days etc or could be at home playing a mammoth game of monopoly or watching a movie, what a great way to spend some time at work

Taking them to school, medical appointments and any other appointments, where needed

Encouraging life skills, supporting our children / young people to flourish and grow

Arranging and being part of activities, which includes planning holidays

Attending different meetings

Keyworker roles and responsibilities

Completing paperwork

General house duties, which involves food shopping, cooking, cleaning, and washing

About you



You are a caring, passionate person, a team player, and a good role model with strong communication skills

You can support vulnerable children and young people with varying degrees of learning difficulties, emotional and challenging behaviour and autism

You are able to build positive relationships with children and their families and stakeholders

You are attentive - you should understand that each child has varying needs and will require different support

You have a full UK driving licence which you've held for 12 months or longer (preferred)

You have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (or hold an equivalent qualification) or willing to obtain this with support through the company, in the required time frame
