The Role



We are recruiting Support Workers to join our client's residential team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with children and young people, many of whom have experienced trauma, neglect or adverse childhood experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering consistent, high-quality care in line with Ofsted standards and care plans. Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people. Supporting daily routines including education, leisure activities, household tasks and personal development. Encouraging independence, resilience and life skills. Managing challenging behaviour in a calm, professional and therapeutic manner. Maintaining accurate records, reports and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements. Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, social workers, education providers and external professionals. Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing home environment.

About You



We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with children and young people and who have the resilience, empathy and commitment required for residential childcare.

Essential criteria:



Commitment to safeguarding and improving the lives of children and young people. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Resilience, patience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. Willingness to undertake mandatory training and work towards the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already held).

Desirable criteria:



Previous experience in childcare, education, or residential support. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Full UK driving licence.
