(pro rata) (dependent on experience)
Hours of Work:
Part time (22.5 hours) or full time available (37.5 hours) two-weekly rota cycle inc. alternate Saturdays. Shift times are 8am-4pm or 11am-7pm.

Part of the Changing Lives Charity, Andrew House is a dedicated residential recovery home supporting adult men, who have experienced life-affecting trauma, on their journey towards healing, restoration and hope for the future. Rooted in Christian values of compassion, dignity, and justice, Andrew House's work spans counselling, advocacy, and community support. We provide a safe, supportive environment where residents can focus on personal growth and are empowered to reintegrate into the community.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will be a vital part of our team, helping residents navigate daily life and maintain their recovery in a positive, respectful, structured environment. The support worker will offer holistic support to residents on their journey towards healing and wholeness, by building supportive relationships which encourage independent living and a positive, sustainable future.
Some out of hours support on a rota basis, is essential for this role. This is usually over the phone but may include in person support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a caseload of up to eight residents, building trusting relationships using a trauma-informed approach.
Complete resident induction and integration into the house
Co-produce and review comprehensive care plans alongside residents to identify support needs and promote independent living.
Facilitate both house activities and group work to promote personal growth and life skills.
Provide support as required to non-residential participants in the Volunteer Plus programme which may include women.
Being risk aware, undertake safeguarding actions to protect adults at risk as appropriate, sharing information internally and externally as appropriate.
Maintain up to date, accurate records and monitor data relating to key-working.
Attend and make a positive contribution to staff / team meetings and participate in organisational training and development events as required.
Conduct health and safety checks of the property.

Person Specification
We are looking for an experienced committed support worker with a heart for justice and healing, who will thrive in a challenging environment bringing compassion, and warmth to their work and be committed to the values of Christian service.
Essential
NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to train.
A compassionate, non-judgmental attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call.
Be a committed Christian and willing to model your faith with residents.
Desirable
Experience in addiction recovery, mental health, or social care
Knowledge of managing challenging behaviour and conflict resolution techniques
Experience of working in trauma-informed environment
