What You'll Do
In this person-centred role, you will support young people on their journey to independence by building trusting relationships and encouraging personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored, one-to-one support based on individual needs
Build strong, trusting relationships to promote emotional wellbeing
Co-create and regularly review support plans with young people
Support daily living skills such as cooking, shopping, cleaning, and attending appointments
Encourage engagement in education, training, or employment
Offer guidance with budgeting, benefits, housing, and obtaining identification
Create a safe and nurturing home environment that promotes growth
Maintain safety and cleanliness through routine checks and reporting
Keep accurate records and collaborate with professionals and internal teams
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you:
Are motivated by making a positive impact on young people's lives
Have relevant experience or a strong willingness to learn (training provided)
Hold or are working toward a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or are ready to begin your qualification
Remain calm under pressure and communicate with empathy and clarity
Hold a valid UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and business insurance
