Your Responsibilities



As a Bank Residential Childcare Practitioner, you'll play a critical role in maintaining consistency and high standards of care. Your contribution helps ensure children feel safe, supported, and emotionally secure--even when routines change.

Your key duties will include:



Building strong, trusting relationships with children and young people Delivering trauma-informed, personalised care aligned with individual plans Supporting therapeutic, recreational, and outdoor activities Assisting with day-to-day routines, including meals, education, and bedtime Responding calmly and compassionately to behavioural or emotional needs Keeping accurate records in line with safeguarding and regulatory requirements Working collaboratively with the permanent team to ensure seamless care

What You'll Bring

We're looking for:



Experience in residential childcare or a related care setting Confidence in supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs An understanding of safeguarding, therapeutic practice, and trauma-informed care A calm, resilient approach and strong interpersonal skills

A full UK driving licence

Availability for

24.5-hour shifts

(10:00am-11:00pm, followed by sleep-in and 7:00am-10:30am)
