We're hiring a Support Worker to join an established homecare package in Ipswich.
This is a weekend respite role supporting a client with complex physical and emotional health needs, including use of a wheelchair, CPAP, and manual bowel care. She is intuitive, gentle-natured, and has a strong belief in holistic healing -- particularly through crystals and energy work, which she keeps close by. She enjoys meaningful one-to-one interactions, relaxed days out, and being supported by people who genuinely listen. Your support allows her family time to recharge, while you provide compassionate, consistent care in a calm, emotionally aware environment.
Key Support Needs:
- Manual handling using banana board (1-person transfer)
- CPAP support during rest periods
- Nebuliser use and general medication prompting
- Manual bowel care and skin integrity support
- Emotional support and trauma-informed approach
- Confidence around spasms/contractures
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Comfortable delivering personal care to adult females in a respectful and sensitive manner
- Experienced with complex care, spinal injury or mobility support
- Calm, patient and confident in personal care
- Aware and respectful of LGBT+ and holistic beliefs
- Comfortable working independently with clear plans in place
- Driver with business insurance (essential)
