We have a great opportunity for a support worker to join a small team looking after a wonderful young man who has an acquired brain injury. The client is a very active young man who is embarking on an exciting journey at university. As such, he is looking for a committed, reliable and enthusiastic support worker to assist him with flexible hours. He is a wheelchair user and as such, will require assistance with mobilizing around his environment. Due to his brain injury, the client experiences some cognitive difficulties and will require help to organise his time with his studies and remain focused. The preliminary goal of the assistant will be to help the client to get the most out of his time at university and to achieve his goal of gaining a degree in Media and Communication.

ABOUT YOU
:
Previous care experience and/or education background preferred.
Experience in helping people with complex brain injuries preferred.
Experience in special needs education preferred.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and a minimum of 2 professional references are required. NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification desirable.
