We're here to support people with the services they tell us they want and need, creating an environment that considers the views of both the people we support and the people important to them.
At Mortimer House we have a large, dedicated staff team who are well regarded and commended by relatives, who trust the team to ensure their loved one is well looked after.
The home is a busy and fast-paced environment where we support up to 21 people with Learning Disabilities, Dementia and Sensory Impairments, and people with complex needs in regards to eating and drinking, mobility and emotional wellbeing. Our residents are supported to lead the care they receive and live as independently as possible.
As an Unsupervised Support Worker, you will ensure that the people who live at Mortimer House are supported safely and in a person-centred way, working in line with regulations and agreed safe systems. You will become familiar with the people we support and their care needs and preferences. You will be supporting people with their mobility needs, medication, nutrition and social needs.
The successful Unsupervised Support Worker will have great communication skills, with the ability to communicate with team members, people we support and a range of stakeholders.
To be a driver with a full, clean UK driving licence, and able to drive the service vehicles would be an advantage.
At Milestones Trust we recognise that without the hard work, commitment and passion of our staff, we wouldn't be the charity that we are today. In return, we are committed to rewarding you with a competitive pay and benefits package including:

Company pension scheme, to help grow your retirement pot
Learning and development opportunities to help you to build your career, including a comprehensive induction programme, and the opportunity to undertake further qualifications
Health Cash Plan on completion of probation giving you access to a minimum of 695 cash back for health treatments e.g. dental, therapies, optical, maternity/paternity, NHS prescriptions etc.

Get paid when you want - access your money as you earn it and request your earnings before payday using Dayforce Wallet
An employee referral scheme that allows you to earn money for referring friends and family.
We pride ourselves with being able to offer staff opportunities to develop and progress their careers within the Trust.
