We are a small and friendly 6-bedroom residential care home providing personalised support for adults with learning disabilities. Our home is a safe, welcoming, and person-centred environment where each individual is encouraged to live as independently and fully as possible. Key Responsibilities:
Provide personalised support with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication, and household activities
Encourage independence, choice, and involvement in all aspects of life
Support residents in accessing the community, attending appointments, and participating in social and recreational activities
Build positive relationships based on trust, consistency, and respect
Promote safeguarding and ensure a safe, caring environment at all times
Maintain clear and accurate records in line with care plans and procedures
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure high-quality support
What We're Looking For:
A warm, friendly, and patient approach
Genuine interest in supporting people with learning disabilities to lead fulfilling lives
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Previous experience in a care or support role is helpful but not essential -- full training provided
Flexibility to work shifts including some evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
Commitment to promoting dignity, rights, and independence
A willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check and relevant training
