Role Purpose



We're looking for caring, reliable, and person-centred

Support Workers

to join a dedicated team providing high-quality support in a

5-bed community-based residential home

for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities



Support residents with daily living tasks, activities, and routines that promote independence and wellbeing. Lead and participate in meaningful activities and outings based on residents' needs and interests. Contribute to personalised care plans and regular reviews to ensure each person's support is tailored and effective. Carry out risk assessments and help manage risks to promote safe independence. Provide physical and personal care sensitively and respectfully, maintaining dignity at all times. Administer and record medications safely in line with procedures. Respond to emergencies and report any concerns through the correct channels. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment. Communicate effectively with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals. Keep accurate, up-to-date records and complete required reports and documentation. Attend training, supervision, and team meetings as needed. Carry out other reasonable tasks to meet the needs of the service and its residents.

What We're Looking For



Essential:



Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) -- or willingness to work towards this. Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, complex needs, or mental health conditions. Understanding of the needs and rights of people living in residential care. Ability to deliver personal care and emotional support with dignity and respect. Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships. Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing needs. Good record-keeping and basic IT skills. Enhanced DBS check required.

Desirable:



Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). Awareness of legislation and best practice in adult social care. A current driving licence or reliable transport.
