Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care to individuals in need, including those in assisted living, nursing homes, and home care settings. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised support and assistance.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate and respectful personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with meal preparation and ensure they receive proper nutrition. Assist with medication administration as per care plans and guidelines. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary. Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Facilitate transportation for clients as needed, ensuring their safety during travel.

Skills

Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care settings is highly desirable. Strong caregiving skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients. Proficiency in meal preparation and understanding of dietary needs for various health conditions. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and first aid practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
