We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals, particularly those requiring assistance due to age-related conditions, disabilities, or health issues. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care they need in a respectful and dignified manner.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Deliver patient care tailored to individual needs, including dementia care and hospice care. Assist clients with mobility and transfers, which may involve heavy lifting. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as required. Monitor and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Foster positive relationships with clients, promoting their independence and well-being. Document care provided accurately and promptly in accordance with organisational policies. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.

Qualifications

Previous experience in care roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications would be advantageous. Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families. A patient and empathetic approach towards individuals needing support. Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-20.20 per hour
