Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Karuna Living in Ringwood. In this role, you will provide essential support to young individuals with learning disabilities, helping them thrive in a nurturing home environment.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized care and support to young people with learning disabilities. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and social engagement. Encourage and promote independence while ensuring safety and well-being. Foster positive relationships with the individuals supported, their families, and other staff members. Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans. Document progress and maintain accurate records of support provided.

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people is preferred. A caring and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with young people and their families. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-12.80 per hour
