Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings, including assisted living, hospice care, and home care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities



Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to appropriate healthcare professionals. Administer basic first aid as needed and ensure a safe environment for clients. Collaborate with families and other caregivers to develop personalised care plans. Maintain accurate records of client progress and care provided. Engage clients in recreational activities to promote mental and physical well-being.

Requirements



Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred, particularly in assisted living, hospice care, or senior care settings. Certification in First Aid is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules. A background in childcare or nursing home environments is an advantage.
