We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team across various locations in Scotland with fulltime and part time hours available. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves working in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, residential settings and private residences. The Support Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care and support.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Provide patient care by monitoring health conditions and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
Support clients in mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, to ensure their safety and comfort.
Engage with clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental well-being.
Implement behaviour management strategies to support individuals with specific needs or challenges.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safe transportation.
Maintain accurate records of client care and progress while adhering to confidentiality standards.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other caregivers to develop personalised care plans.
Skills
Experience in assisted living or senior care is highly desirable.
1 year UK care experience.
Support integration into the community, including travel and advocacy.
Medication awareness.
Administer or assist with medication in line with training and protocols.
Strong background in patient care with an understanding of individual needs.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients.
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques for individuals with special requirements.
Previous experience in a nursing home or childcare setting is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
