Overview
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our care team. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, person-centred care, making a meaningful difference to the lives of individuals across Wigan.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personal care including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other essential daily living tasks.
Administer prescribed medication safely, following healthcare protocols.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, noting any changes in health, behaviour, or condition.
Work closely with healthcare professionals to follow tailored care plans.
Use correct medical terminology in both written and verbal communication.
Provide companionship and emotional support, ensuring clients feel safe, comfortable, and respected.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in support work, home care, or hospice care is required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathetic approach with a genuine desire to help others.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic care environment.
Shift Pattern
Week 1: Friday, 5:00 PM ? Sunday, 10:00 AM (continuous 41 hours)
Week 2: Tuesday, 4:00 PM ? Wednesday, 5:00 PM (continuous 25 hours)
Thursday, 5:00 PM ? Friday, 5:00 PM (continuous 24 hours)
