Support Worker

Overview

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and committed Support Workers to join our dedicated care team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by delivering person-centred care to an individual living independently in his own home in Wigan.

You will play a vital role in providing both personal and emotional support, helping to improve the quality of life for our client and ensuring his comfort, safety, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care such as assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily living tasks. Administer prescribed medication safely and accurately, following care guidelines. Maintain clear and up-to-date care records, reporting any changes in health, mood, or behaviour. Work alongside healthcare professionals to follow personalised care plans. Use appropriate medical terminology when documenting or discussing care. Offer companionship and emotional support to promote a safe and positive environment.

About the Role

The client:

A male individual living in his own home, requiring support with daily care and routines.

Shift pattern:

Week 1:

Friday 5:00 PM ? Sunday 10:00 AM (continuous 41 hours)

Week 2:

Tuesday 4:00 PM ? Wednesday 5:00 PM (continuous 25 hours)

Week 3:

Thursday 5:00 PM ? Friday 5:00 PM (continuous 24 hours)

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in support work, home care, or similar settings is

essential

. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A caring, empathetic nature with a genuine commitment to helping others. Ability to work independently and adapt to a changing care environment.
