Support Worker

Jump on board with an amazing opportunity at Bolton Cares, as a Support Worker within our Supported Living service. As part of our team, you will be supporting people in their own homes; the people we work with have complex needs including learning disability, mental health, and autism. Some also have significant physical health and personal care needs.

About the role:

We are looking for reliable Support Workers to support individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives in their local community. The role requires someone who thrives on variety, enjoys a challenge, and is highly adaptable, as you may be asked to work from multiple locations, dependent on service need. You will need to be flexible, and confident interacting with people from all walks of life, treating people with compassion and care, showing dignity and respect to the people you support and their families, whilst quickly building a rapport quickly. The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and you will work on a rota which includes weekends and bank holidays.

Experience and skills required:

Must have experience supporting adults within a social care setting. Experience of supporting individuals with a learning disability, mental health or an autistic spectrum condition would be preferable. Ability to develop supportive relationships, promoting independence and wellbeing. Ability to use a computer and be IT literate. You will be highly motivated to deliver outstanding care and support. Have the ability to work in a person-centred way. A driving licence/use of a car is desirable but not essential

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 37 per week
